Dr. Brandeis Marshall

Dr. Brandeis Marshall is a data engineer, learning strategist, and entrepreneur who designs and delivers computing and data instruction for practical application for those aspiring, new and experienced in the workforce. She started DataedX (pronounced data-ed-x). DataedX, at its core, counteracts automated oppression efforts with culturally-responsive instruction and strategies. In 2019, she co-created BeyondOne, DataedX’s data prep online community for Black women, that provides a safe haven to grow, share or pivot in data roles regardless of their profession. Marshall has taught as a professor at Spelman College and Purdue University. She received her bachelor’s degree in computer science then received her Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Computer Science in 2007.
